1. Data We Collect
DataMirror is designed with privacy at its core. We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service: • File hashes (SHA-256) — computed locally in your browser. Your actual files are never uploaded to our servers. • Solana wallet address — only when you connect a wallet to create a proof. • Transaction IDs — stored locally in your browser (localStorage) to track your proofs. • Usage analytics — anonymous page views and events (no personal data attached).
2. Your Files Stay on Your Device
When you use DataMirror to certify a document, the SHA-256 hash is computed directly in your browser using the Web Crypto API. The original file is never transmitted to our servers. Only the 64-character fingerprint is sent to the Solana blockchain via our API.
3. Blockchain Data is Public
Any hash anchored on the Solana blockchain is permanently public and immutable. Anyone with the transaction ID can verify the proof. Do not anchor data you wish to keep private — only anchor the hash of your document, not the document itself.
4. API Keys
If you obtain a B2B API key, we store your email address and project name for account management purposes. API usage logs (timestamps, hashes anchored, IP addresses) are retained for 90 days for abuse prevention.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser localStorage to store your proof history locally. No cross-site tracking cookies are used. We may use minimal session cookies for technical operation of the site.
6. Third-Party Services
DataMirror uses: • Solana blockchain (public network) — for anchoring proofs • Vercel / hosting infrastructure — for serving the application We do not sell your data to any third party.
7. Data Retention
Proof data stored in your browser localStorage remains until you clear it manually. Server-side API logs are retained for 90 days. Blockchain data is permanent and cannot be deleted by us or anyone else.
