Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance

By using DataMirror ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including individuals and businesses using the B2B API.

2. What DataMirror Does

DataMirror computes a SHA-256 fingerprint of your file locally in your browser and anchors that fingerprint on the Solana blockchain as an immutable timestamp. We do not store, view, or process your original files.

3. Free Tier

The self-serve certification service is provided free of charge. Each blockchain transaction incurs a network fee (~$0.001 in SOL) paid by DataMirror on your behalf during the free tier. We reserve the right to introduce usage limits or pricing changes with 30 days notice.

4. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for: • Ensuring you have the right to certify the content you anchor • Not anchoring illegal, harmful, or infringing content • Keeping your wallet credentials secure • Understanding that blockchain records are permanent and cannot be deleted We are not responsible for what content is anchored by users.

5. Blockchain Immutability

Once a hash is anchored on Solana, it cannot be modified or deleted — by you, by us, or by anyone. This is a feature of the technology. Do not anchor sensitive or personally identifiable information. Only anchor the cryptographic hash of your document.

6. API Terms

B2B API users must: • Not use the API for spam, abuse, or illegal activity • Keep API keys confidential • Accept that API access may be revoked if terms are violated • Contact api@datamirror.app to request an API key

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

DataMirror is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee: • Uninterrupted service availability • Legal validity of timestamps in all jurisdictions • Acceptance of blockchain proofs by courts or institutions A DataMirror certificate provides strong cryptographic evidence of file existence at a point in time. Its legal value depends on your jurisdiction.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataMirror shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced at datamirror.app.
